When I launched the Association Mavens website last July, I did so as a relative newcomer to the association industry. My goal was to connect with the association world’s foremost thinkers and teachers and then share what I found out with the greater community. Six months and 13 Mavens later, the Association Mavens site has covered a wide range of topics and trends, from author Mary Byers’ interview on how the industry is radically changing to a discussion with Wes Trochlil on AMS implementation to consultant Jeff Hurt’s pointers on captivating a conference audience.
Each Maven has brought a unique perspective of the association world, and together these interviews provide a snapshot of the industry as it was in 2012—its challenges, its evolution, and where it is headed in the future.
I hope you enjoy this Mavens Roundup 2012 and I look forward to providing you many more fascinating interviews in the coming year.
